Hindustani Vocal ✦ Tabla ✦ Bharatanatyam
Every course at Shree Guru Sangeet Vidyalaya is taught from the foundations upward, combining practical training with the theory behind it. Choose online or in-person classes, and study with or without formal certification.
Our Hindustani Vocal classes introduce students to the fundamentals and progressive aspects of Hindustani music. Students are guided through practical singing as well as the theoretical aspects of music.
Training begins with swar and alankar and the basic exercises that build a reliable voice, then moves on to raga, tala and classical compositions as the student's command of the material grows.
Tabla is one of the important percussion instruments in Indian classical music. Our Tabla classes provide students with systematic training in rhythm, technique, compositions and performance.
Students work through the basic strokes and bols before taking on taal, laya and composition — and learn to accompany vocal and instrumental music, which is where a tabla player's understanding of rhythm is truly tested.
Bharatanatyam is one of India's major classical dance traditions, combining rhythm, movement, expression, music and storytelling.
At Shree Guru Sangeet Vidyalaya, students are introduced to the fundamentals of Bharatanatyam through systematic training and regular practice — beginning with adavus, mudras and posture, and progressing to abhinaya, traditional compositions and performance on stage.
All three disciplines are offered in each combination below. Students who are unsure which path suits them are welcome to ask for guidance before enrolling.
